How it works

  1. 1

    Pick your game

Choose from 30+ main-series titles, Gen I through Gen IX. PartyDex uses your selection to filter all data — moves, encounters, and evolutions — to that version.

  2. 2

    Build your party

Search for any of the 1,025+ Pokemon by name. Add up to six to your party, set their current levels, and manage them in the sidebar.

  3. 3

    Get instant data

Select a party member and instantly access their full learnset, type chart and weaknesses, evolution chain, base stats with IV/EV/nature calculator, and encounter locations — all for your chosen game version. If a Pokemon isn't in the wild, PartyDex shows where to catch its base form and evolve it instead.

  4. 4

    Share your party

Tap the share icon in the top bar to copy a link to your current party. Anyone who opens the link sees the same team — the Pokemon, their levels, and your chosen game — without needing an account. The party state lives entirely in the URL.

What you get for every Pokemon

  • Move list and learnset by game

See your Pokemon's full learnset for your chosen game version — level-up moves, TMs, and HMs. Upcoming level-up moves appear first so you always know what's coming next.

  • Type chart and weakness guide

See the full type chart for your Pokemon's type combination — every weakness, resistance, and immunity bucketed by damage multiplier (4×, 2×, immune, ½×, ¼×).

  • Full evolution chains

View the complete evolution line with sprites, names, and level triggers.

  • Base stats, stat calculator, natures, IVs, and EVs

See your Pokemon's base stats with live calculated values. Set your nature, IVs, and EVs to preview exactly how strong your Pokemon will be at any level.

  • Encounter locations & base form guidance

Find where to catch any Pokemon in your chosen game — area names, encounter methods, and max encounter rates. If a Pokemon isn't found in the wild, PartyDex automatically checks whether its base form is catchable in that game and shows those locations with a 'Catch [base form] and evolve it' prompt, so you never hit a dead end.

  • Training spots

The Training tab recommends the best routes to grind on for your Pokemon's current level, scoped to your chosen game. Each result shows the top wild Pokemon, their level range, encounter method, and encounter rate.

  • Held items (Gen II+)

Assign any held item to a party member with a single tap. Click the bag icon in the Pokemon header, browse or search all items available in your game version, and see each item's in-game effect. Items carry over when a Pokemon evolves.

  • Routes lookup

Click the Routes tab on any party Pokemon to look up a location by name. Select a city, route, or dungeon and instantly see every trainer who appears there (gym leaders, rivals, bosses, and more) alongside wild encounter data — species, method, and level range — all scoped to your selected game.

  • Random team generator

Can't decide who to use? The random team generator picks a full six-Pokemon party for you. Filter by type, evolution stage (final evolution only or basic forms only), and whether to include trade evolutions. Re-roll individual Pokemon or the whole team, then load the result straight into your party. Click any generated Pokemon to see its base stats and where to catch it in your selected game (or which basic form to catch and evolve). A Team Analysis panel shows your offensive type coverage and which types threaten your party.

  • Pokedex checklist

Track which Pokemon you've caught in your game. Open the Pokedex from the Tools menu to see every Pokemon available in your chosen game version, toggle each one caught or uncaught with a single tap, and track your progress with a completion bar. Caught state is saved per game and persists across sessions.

  • Full type chart (Gen VI+)

Open the Type Chart from the Tools menu to see the complete 18×18 type effectiveness grid. Click any attacking or defending type to highlight its row or column and instantly spot weaknesses, resistances, and immunities.

  • Nuzlocke run tracker

The Nuzlocke Tracker (Tools menu) manages your entire challenge run. Start a run with optional clauses (Dupes Clause, Level Cap, Shiny Clause, and more). Track your alive party and graveyard with editable nicknames, levels, and known moves. A Type Coverage & Readiness panel next to your party shows offensive coverage (based on each Pokemon's actual moves, falling back to base types if none are set) and defensive weaknesses across the whole team, plus a Ready / Caution / Not Ready badge for your next unbeaten gym leader or trainer based on level gap and type matchups. The route tracker lists every catchable area in your game — mark each as caught, missed, or failed. The Threats tab shows every gym leader and Elite Four member with their teams, derived move lists, and a type-coverage overlay against your current alive party so you can spot danger before walking in.

  • PokeCry — daily Pokémon cry game

A new Pokémon cry drops every day. Listen to the audio clip and guess which Pokémon it is in 6 tries. After each wrong guess, a new hint unlocks — starting with the type, then generation, first letter, a silhouette, and finally the name length. Share your result with friends when you're done.
